The video for Interpol’s brand new song, “The Rover”, is now available on YouTube. This is also the first single for the New York indie rockers upcoming album, Marauder, scheduled to be released on 24 August 2018.

This video is a political love letter to Mexico City, pays homage to their large Mexico City fanbase.

The video’s directed by the man behind Narcos, Gerardo Naranjo, tells a story about an erratic ex’s band member that becomes a cult leader.

According to NME, “The Rover” is a track without relent. A rush of dark rock ‘n’ roll from returning masters—never living slowly and still as devious as ever.
