LUCY WIRYONO
TV Presenter, MC, Restaurateur

What music are you into at the moment?
New Kids On The Block! Post concert syndrome. Oh well, considering I’ve waited 20 years to see them… I’ve spent my life listening to their albums over and over again haha…

What was the first record you bought—any interesting story behind it?
Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction. My mother is a devoted Catholic, the cover of the album made her eyes pop! The cross and the skulls… It was actually too much for her. But, pretty amazingly, she ended up being cool with it (or was she just acting? Hehe, who knows).

What are your all-time favorite albums? Why?
The Beatles. Before Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band era. I love songs that I can sing along to.

What was the worst record you ever purchased?
Fool’s Garden by Fool’s Garden.

Who do you want to be, other than yourself, next time you reincarnate?
I want to be Lady Gaga. I want to see the world through her eyes.

What book are you reading now and what’s the score (1-10)?
Conversations with God. 10! Makes you see things from different angles.

What new movie should people see? Why?
The Avengers! Robert Downey Jr is such superb eye candy. Impartial recommendation? I know. Pardon me.

What music do you choose to start your weekend with?
The Chemical Brothers! Gets me in the mood to party! (NOT!) …Well, I go to sleep at around 10pm. But I do love The Chemical Brothers.

And music you choose to end your weekend?
Andezzz! To chill me out before Monday begins.

Lucy is as busy as always. Other than MC-ing regularly, and being the ambassador for Klinik Mata Nusantara, she’s also the TV host for “motoGP” program (Trans7) and “Pagi Jakarta” program (O Channel). In these last few years she has started her own culinary business with Chef Afit called Holycow! Steakhouse.

Salah tiganya Superman is Dead (SID), Navicula, serta The Hydrant.
